As an Emergency Nurse at Brampton Civic Hospital, Robert Bouchard takes pride in delivering exceptional care and compassion to patients and their families. His respectful demeanor and attentiveness are but a few of the qualities that won him this year’s Kay Blair Community Service Award.
“Robert illustrates the value of incredible teamwork recognizing all others above himself,” said Kim Maas-O’Hearn, Bouchard’s supervisor and Manager of the Emergency Department at Brampton Civic.
Each year, Osler’s Board of Directors presents the Kay Blair Community Service Award to an individual or individuals who embrace Osler’s Mission and Vision, and consistently demonstrate what it means to go beyond. The award recognizes their commitment to serving the needs of Osler’s community, patients and families, as well as their understanding of what it means to be compassionate, kind and understanding.
“Robert is a truly compassionate advocate for the patient. He is respectful and attentive to families and patient care needs and an excellent communicator,” wrote Kim Presta, Access and Flow Leader, in her nomination of Bouchard. “His patient advocacy, team leader ability and team work ethics are inspiring.”
Osler congratulates Robert on this accomplishment and values the commitment of our staff who go beyond each and every day to deliver exceptional patient care.
