Peel Memorial takes shape

It’s shaping up to be a busy fall at the future home of Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness. Construction on the new hospital is well underway and you can keep an eye on the progress with our handy webcam, which updates with a new image every 30 minutes.

As of October, three cranes are on site and the underground parking garage is taking form. In the coming weeks, we can expect the building’s foundation to be poured, along with the remainder of the parking lot and the ground floor.

While this structural work goes on, we will be heading out into the community to share our progress and much more with area residents. On Wednesday, October 29, we were at Bramalea City Centre, hosting an information booth about the new Peel Memorial. Later this fall, we will be looking to the public – as well as our staff, physicians and volunteers – for input into the building’s interior design, such as colours and other elements. Look for more information about these opportunities in the coming weeks.
