PARKING
Parking is available in the Visitors' Parking Lot located at the front of the hospital. A fee is collected as you leave the lot. These fees are the hospital's only source of revenue to maintain the parking lot and to pay for snow removal. The first 15 minutes of parking in the main visitors' parking lot is free; this allows family members or friends time to pick up a patient without having to pay a parking charge.
Limited short-term metered parking (up to 30 minutes) is also available near the main entrance to the hospital.
If you or a family member expect to be in hospital for more than a few days, you may wish to make arrangements to purchase a special parking pass. They are available from the parking attendant at the booth in the Main Visitors Parking Lot.
Pay and Display parking meters are available near the Emergency Department for the use of Emergency patients only. These meters can be used to purchase up to 23 hours of parking with the use of coin or credit cards.
Please do not park your car at the main hospital entrance door; it is a fire route and you may receive a ticket from the City of Toronto Parking Control.
In consideration of our disabled visitors and patients
A number of accessible parking spaces for the disabled have been provided in each of the parking areas. These spaces are closer to the building, readily accessible to ramps and are wider to give the driver more space to enter and exit the vehicle.
Only those individuals with a Disabled Person Parking Permit (DPPP) are permitted to park in accessible parking spaces. The permit must be displayed on the dashboard or sun visor. Misuse of this permit can result in fines and revoked privileges. Any misuse of the DPPP will be reported to the police.
Please be considerate of our disabled patients and visitors. DO NOT PARK in the designated accessible parking spots unless you have the required permit.
