William Osler Health Centre is committed to ensuring the hospital continually improves access to its facilities for all patients, staff and visitors.
The Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001 (ODA) was developed to improve opportunities for people with disabilities and to provide for their involvement in the identification, removal and prevention of barriers to their full participation in the life of the province. To this end, the ODA mandated all hospitals to prepare an annual accessibility plan.
To address this mandate, William Osler Health Centre's Accessibility Planning Task Force was formed in November 2003. Its first task was to develop, implement and regularly review plans, systems and structures required to continually improve accessibility for those with disabilities and to meet the requirements under the ODA 2001.
If you have any questions, feedback or suggestions, wish to participate or require a hard copy of the Plan, please contact the Chair of the Accessibility Planning Task Force at extension 32390.
