OT is a well-established professional group at the William Osler Health Centre (WOHC) with 24.9 full-time equivalent positions and 32 staff members (OTs and OT assistants), including a 0.5 FTE Professional Leader.  Our services span the majority of patient care programs including medicine, surgery, emergency, adult and adolescent mental health, paediatrics, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient hand and upper extremity, neurology, critical care, palliative and complex continuing care, and outpatient cardiology.  We assess and treat a variety of clients and their families, linking with community services and other health care facilities where appropriate and participating in community opportunities to promote health and well being.  As one of the largest OT teams in the GTA, we are not only active members of the William Osler Health Centre multi-disciplinary patient care teams, but also actively participate in the development of the policies and procedures which affect the care we provide.
