Ontario’s health care system is vast – providing patients with a range of services and programs. However, many find it complex to navigate and need a bit of help to understand the types of care that are available. This has inspired a group of local health care professionals – including two Osler physicians – to host a free event in Brampton to provide information to the public about how the health care system works.
“We’ve found that many people are not familiar with the health care services and programs available to them, or even how to differentiate between them. This event gives us the opportunity to answer those commonly asked questions and provide other helpful information to the community,” said Dr. Davinder Wadehra, Chief and Medical Director, Renal Program at Osler.
Dr. Wadehra will be sharing information about specialized health care and visitor health insurance at the event. He will also share the stage with Osler Emergency Department physician, Dr. Gurjit Bajwa, who will host a session about emergency medicine.
Anyone who is interested in learning more about the Ontario health care system is invited to attend.
