The Department of Family Medicine is seeking one to two family physicians to join Osler’s rehabilitation program.
Joining a team of six other physicians who together provide care for approximately 90 patients, in collaboration with allied health, specialist colleagues and other partners. The expectations include daily visits during the week for their patients and to share on-call responsibilities with colleagues on the team. Experience managing hospital-based patients would be an asset. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.
This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who wishes to complement their community practice with a component of hospital-based care.
Osler is an affiliated academic community teaching site for the McMaster University Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine: Family Medicine program. It also provides clinical elective opportunities to Canadian undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. The preferred candidate would have the option to participate in teaching and seek an academic appointment with either the University of Toronto or McMaster University.
The successful applicants will have an opportunity to join one of the fastest growing community hospitals offering innovative research opportunities, access to cutting edge technology, and support from one of Ontario’s leading physician wellness programs. The candidates must have a certificate of registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, hold membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and be eligible for Associate/Active Staff privileges at William Osler Health System.
