The Division of General Internal Medicine is seeking locum and full time associate general internists.
The selected candidate will work with a collegial interdisciplinary team providing consults in the emergency department and surgical floors on the inpatient hospitalist service, and provide medical care to the outpatients in the urgent medical clinic at Peel Memorial. Osler has a high acuity patient volume with many unique pathologies. The position requires excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population. Remuneration is stipend and fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.
Osler is an affiliated academic community teaching site for the McMaster University Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine: Family Medicine program. It also provides clinical elective opportunities to Canadian undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. The preferred candidate would have the option to participate in teaching and seek an academic appointment with either the University of Toronto or McMaster University. With the government's recent announcement of a new medical school in Brampton, Osler also looks forward to becoming an academic health centre in partnership with the Toronto Metropolitan University.
