The Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time associate physiatrist.
The successful candidate will work alongside our team of acute care physicians to operate the rehabilitation units and provide timely consultations and assessments for rehabilitation admissions. The physiatrist will also be expected to work on supporting family physicians and the allied health team on rehabilitation units with respect to evidence based rehabilitation strategies to maximize the patient’s rehabilitation potential and outcomes. The position requires excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.
Osler is an affiliated academic community teaching site for the McMaster University Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine: Family Medicine program. It also provides clinical elective opportunities to Canadian undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. The preferred candidate would be expected to participate in teaching and may seek an academic appointment with either the University of Toronto or McMaster University if desired.
