Simulation Program

Our In-Situ Sim Sessions are designed to create a safe and positive learning environment for continuous clinical improvement. On a monthly basis, teams comprising nurses, physicians, RT’s and allied health professionals work together around two simulated resuscitations. The main goals of our simulation program are to help optimize crisis resource management, team building and communication skills.  Our program is accredited through McMaster University, and provides physician participants with CME credits (nurses are paid for participation). Our In-Situ Simulation endeavors to foster interdisciplinary teamwork, competence, communication and morale, and ultimately strives to achieve teamwide mastery of emergency resuscitation.
