The Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking three full-time associates for its primary care obstetrics group (PCOG). The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the on-call schedule, provide in-house primary obstetrics care at Brampton Civic Hospital, averaging four twelve-hour shifts. During their on-call shift, the candidate will provide care for low-risk obstetrics, newborn care and c-section assist covering up to four scheduled c- sections along with any other emergency c-sections as needed. Additionally, responsibilities include antenatal care services at Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness as well as participate in the early pregnancy clinic and the mom and baby clinic. Renumeration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.
Qualifications
The candidates must have a Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have certification in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada a fellowship would be considered an asset. The position requires excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population.

Our team is a collegial group of family physicians who are supported by a dedicated team of nurses, social workers, obstetricians and paediatricians. PCOG provides low-risk obstetrical care, including prenatal, labour and delivery and post-partum care.
