The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time associate to join the Gastroenterology (GI) group at Brampton Civic Hospital starting in July 2026. The successful applicant will cover the GI luminal consult service and will provide added support for our hepatology team. Equitable endoscopy resources/hospital service allocation is a core tenet. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.
Qualifications
The candidates must have a Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have a fellowship in Gastroenterology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Special interest and/or post-residency training in inflammatory bowel diseases is preferable. The position requires excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population.
About the program
The Division of Gastroenterology covers various services from luminal gastroenterology, advanced endoscopy and hepatology. Advanced endoscopy service includes complex endoscopic mucosal resection, ERCP, stenting and endoscopic ultrasound. The hepatology service offers focused clinical expertise, fibroscan, paracentesis and liaison with local interventional radiology for TIPSS.
