The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine is seeking a part-time associate to join the Gastroenterology (GI) team at Etobicoke General Hospital. The successful applicant will cover the GI consult service and will provide added support for our liver disease population. Equal allocation of endoscopy time will be provided among GI staff. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.
Qualifications
The candidates must have a Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have a fellowship in Gastroenterology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The position requires excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population.
About the program
The Gastroenterology division at Osler covers various services from luminal gastroenterology, advanced endoscopy and hepatology. The hepatology service offers fibroscan, paracentesis and endoscopy to treat patients with various liver diseases such as viral hepatitis, fatty liver and autoimmune liver disease.
