The Department of Paediatrics is seeking a full-time general paediatrician.
The candidates will participate in the general paediatrics call schedule at Brampton Civic Hospital and Etobicoke General Hospital, participate in the patient care team service at both inpatient sites and work in the urgent paediatric assessment clinic. There are additional opportunities to participate in ambulatory clinics. The position requires excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees. An interest in providing paediatric office-based care in the community would be an asset.
Osler is a designated regional maternal newborn and paediatric centre with an Advanced Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Inpatient beds are comprised of 39 NICU beds and 26 inpatient paediatric beds. As an affiliated academic community teaching site for the McMaster University Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine: Family Medicine program and a key clinical partner for the new School of Medicine with Toronto Metropolitan University, there is ample opportunity to participate in clinical education with medical students and residents.
