The Division of Radiology in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging is seeking an associate. The position requires coverage for the core imaging modalities of a busy community practice, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, radiography and fluoroscopic-guided procedures. Expertise in these areas is required. Ability to perform body interventional procedures and venous lines, and/or expertise in cardiac imaging including CT and MRI would be an asset. Additional coverage for nuclear medicine and mammography is optional and can be tailored to an individual's core competencies and interests. On-site rotations will primarily be at Brampton Civic Hospital, responsibilities include reporting inpatient and outpatient studies and providing weekend, evening and late-night call shift coverage for all the Osler sites. Day to day variety in shifts allows for diverse practice, with a mixture of on-site work and at-home reporting. Excellent communication skills in English are essential. Proficiency in additional languages is an asset due to the diverse population we serve.
Qualifications
- Accredited medical degree (or equivalent)
- Certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) with an additional Fellowship year
- License to practice and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Expertise in MRI, CT, ultrasound, radiography and fluoroscopic-guided procedures is required
- Ability to perform body interventional procedures and venous lines would be an asset
- Expertise in cardiac imaging including CT and MRI would be an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of attendance, punctuality and accountability

- Expertise in clinical teaching or clinical research preferred for those interested in education or research
- Physicians are expected to apply for an academic appointment with the faculty of medicine at Toronto Metropolitan University.
- Renumeration is determined by the William Osler Radiology Association Practice Plan which is comprised of the on-site Brampton radiologists
