Outpatient services

Osler offers a wide variety of adult mental health outpatient services Brampton Civic, Etobicoke General and Peel Memorial. We also have a partnership with Queens Square Family Health Team.

Psychotherapy is provided using a “stepped care” model, which places the patient at the level of care relevant to their needs. Service is primarily delivered via group therapy. We provide a limited number of individual sessions to prepare patients for the group experience.

Referrals

A psychiatrist or family physician can refer you to these services. The referral may be for a consultation, consultation and treatment, or telephone advice, depending on your needs.

Eating disorders clinic

Our eating disorders clinic treats adults, children, adolescents and youth with mild to moderate eating disorders. We are dedicated to helping you:

  • eliminate or reduce symptoms of eating disorders
  • develop coping strategies to manage the anxiety of this change

We work collaboratively with physicians and mental health professionals to help you achieve these goals.

Please note: as eating disorders are associated with serious medical complications, patients who participate in our program must be assessed as medically stable by their family doctor.

Services include:

  • assessment and diagnosis
  • family-based treatment for children and adolescents
  • nutritional consultation
  • psychoeducation and psychotherapy group intervention
  • medical monitoring, in collaboration with your family physician
  • psychiatric consultation services

Clinic services are provided by a team that includes the following professionals:

  • nurse practitioner
  • psychologist
  • dietitian
  • social worker
