Osler has partnered with SeamlessMD to provide a free mobile digital education tool that will guide you throughout your health care journey with education and reminders to help keep you on track. It is currently available for all surgery (both elective and emergency) and cancer care patients (systemic therapy, radiation and survivorship).
What is SeamlessMD?
Seamless is a free, interactive, step-by-step digital patient education tool. It has been customized by Osler to provide patients like you with the information you need to prepare for and recover from your procedure at Osler.
You can easily access it as a mobile app on your smartphone and tablet or online as a website on your computer. For mobile use, download the SeamlessMD app from the GooglePlay or Apple App store.
Surgery patients
What you will get:
- The pre-anesthesia questionnaire required by your health care team before your pre-admission appointment
- Reminders and to-do lists about how to prepare for your procedure
- Daily health check surveys to record your symptoms after your procedure and get feedback on your recovery
- A library of useful resources to answer your questions and help you manage your recovery at home
- Reminders about your upcoming appointments
How to sign up
For elective surgery patients:
- Your health care team will ask you if you’d like to sign up for SeamlessMD. They will collect your email address in order to sign you up. They will also give you a brochure about SeamlessMD brochure.
- If you do not have an email address or are not comfortable using technology, you can provide the email address of a caregiver instead. Your caregiver can access the program for you and help you use it.
- You will get a welcome email from info@messages.seamless.md. Click on the link in the email to activate your account and choose a password.
- To continue accessing the program:
- Computer/tablet: visit the SeamlessMD website to log in
- Mobile phone: download the SeamlessMD app from the GooglePlay or Apple App store
- Your username is the email address you provided to your health care team
For emergency surgery patients:
- Your health care team will tell you about SeamlessMD before you leave the hospital. They will provide you with a SeamlessMD brochure.
- To sign up, go to the SeamlessMD website and enter the access code “oslersurg” into the ‘new patient’ section.
- Select your language and fill out the required fields.
- Click ’let’s start!’

Cancer care patients
What you will get:
- Learn what to expect from your treatments
- Keep track of your appointments
- Learn how to manage common side effects
- Learn how to safely handle medicine at home
- Complete daily health checks and get real-time feedback on what to do
- Track your progress at home during cancer treatment
