Learn about the exciting transformation of Peel Memorial, and the future of health care in our community
William Osler Health System (Osler) invites community members to join its next Telephone Town Hall on Wednesday, May 21, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This interactive event provides a great opportunity to hear directly from Osler’s leadership about the latest hospital updates, including progress on the new Peel Memorial Hospital which recently celebrated its groundbreaking, Osler’s affiliation with Toronto Metropolitan University’s new School of Medicine, Osler’s Research Institute for Health Innovation, innovative academic practice partnerships to enhance patient care and more.
Residents will have a chance to ask questions, share feedback and engage in meaningful conversation with hospital leaders about issues that matter most to them.
The Telephone Town Hall will be hosted by Dr. Frank Martino, Osler’s President and CEO, and moderated by Hema Ramlochan-Tuitt, a member of Osler’s dedicated Patient and Family Advisory Council. They will be joined by a panel of Osler senior leaders including Michael Torrance, Osler Board Director; Scott Patterson, Vice President, Facilities Operations and Capital Development; Kiki Ferrari, Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer; Tiziana Rivera, Executive Vice President, Quality, Research and Chief Nursing Executive; Dr. Hemant Shah, Vice President, Academics; Yasir Khalid, Director, People-Centered Care and Health Justice; and Osler Foundation leadership.
“This is a pivotal moment for Osler and the communities we serve,” said Dr. Frank Martino. “From the historic groundbreaking of the new Peel Memorial Hospital to our many innovative academic partnerships, we’re building a stronger health system for everyone. I encourage all residents to join us on May 21, to ask questions and stay informed.”
Hema Ramlochan-Tuitt, the event’s moderator, echoes the importance of community involvement and outreach, “This Telephone Town Hall is an opportunity for residents to have their voices heard and to be part of the conversation about health care in our community.”
How to Participate: On Wednesday, May 21, starting at 6:50 p.m., Osler will call residents via landline to connect them directly to the Town Hall. To participate, residents can also pre-register with the phone number of their choice as well as submit questions in advance online or leave a voicemail with their name and phone number at (416) or (905) 494-2120 ext. 50200 before 12:00 p.m. on May 21, 2025. The event will be recorded for promotional and archival purposes.
