Osler invites residents to connect through Telephone Town Hall

Dr. Naveed Mohammad, President and CEO, and other senior hospital leaders to provide updates about Osler’s COVID-19 response

As we mark one year into the COVID-19 pandemic, William Osler Health System (Osler) is inviting the community to its next Telephone Town Hall. On Wednesday, March 24 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., residents can learn about Osler’s ongoing response to COVID-19, the hospital’s role in COVID-19 vaccinations, plans for future hospital expansion projects, and other Osler initiatives. Community members will also have an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. This live event is hosted by Dr. Naveed Mohammad, Osler’s President and CEO, and will be moderated by Hema Ramlochan, a member of Osler’s Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC). They will be joined by senior Osler leaders including Kiki Ferrari, Chief Operating Officer; Ann Ford, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Services; and Mary Jane McNally, Chief Patient Experience Officer. Dr. Lawrence Loh, Medical Officer of Health for Peel Region, will also join to provide an update from a regional perspective.

“We’ve heard from many community members that Telephone Town Halls are a convenient and effective way for them to connect with Osler, especially while they’re staying home,” says Dr. Naveed Mohammad. “We look forward to sharing updates about our response to COVID-19 and how we are continuing to provide safe, quality care to our communities during this time. I encourage all residents to join us and bring their questions to this important conversation.”

Ms. Ramlochan agrees. “I’m very pleased to be moderating this Telephone Town Hall,” she notes. “As a member of Osler’s Patient and Family Advisory Council, I know how important it is to feel connected to your community hospital, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This event is an excellent opportunity for community members to hear directly from Osler’s leaders, ask questions and learn more about what’s happening at their local hospital.”

Residents can pre-register online or by leaving a voicemail with their name and phone number at (416) or (905) 494-2120 ext. 50200 before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24. More than 117,000 households across Osler’s local area will be contacted and invited to participate in the Town Hall via telephone just before the event begins.
