Hematology

Osler provides hematology services for patients supporting the investigation and management of malignant hematology (also known as blood cancer) and benign (non-cancer) hematologic disorders. Among our many services, we support:

  • Malignant hematology including lymphoma, myeloma and myeloid disorders, in addition to the work-up of possible hematologic malignancy (cytopenias, non-iron deficiency anemia, polycythemia, thrombocytosis, neutrophilia, lymphocytosis, eosinophilia)
  • Thrombotic disorders congenital and acquired including long-term management assistance
  • Benign hematology including isolated thrombocytopenia, isolated neutropenias and anemias due to chronic disease, iron-deficiency anemia, idiopathic thrombocytopenia, isolated low blood counts - not due to cancer, hemophilia, blood clots
  • Red blood cell disorders including sickle cell disease (both paediatric and adult)
