Women’s Outpatient Services

The maternal care clinic provides patient and family-centred low risk obstetrical prenatal care. The inter-professional team is comprised of family physicians, nurses and administrative staff. Women attend the clinic for their prenatal appointments with the intent to deliver their baby at Brampton Civic Hospital. Referral is required.

The fetal heart clinic is dedicated to specialized prenatal cardiac care. The clinic is composed of paediatric cardiologists, nurses and a specialized echocardiogram. The clinic will focus on precise diagnostics and collaborative treatment planning for health care teams, providing efficient assessments and informed decision-making to support expectant mothers and their babies facing cardiac challenges.

The mother baby clinic provides post-partum and breastfeeding follow-up care for patients who have given birth and have been discharged from Brampton Civic Hospital. Newborn follow-up care includes screening, jaundice and weight checks, early discharge bloodwork and newborn assessments. The inter-professional team is comprised of family physicians, nurses and lactation consultants. Appointments are confirmed upon patient discharge from the hospital only.

The colposcopy clinic provides consultation, evaluation, treatment and education to patients referred by a physician or health care practitioner following an abnormal Pap smear, cervical or vulva abnormalities. We require a physician referral for an appointment at this clinic.
