Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapists collaborate to treat a variety of breathing-related problems, including:

• chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• asthma
• pneumonia
• tuberculosis
• pulmonary fibrosis

They care for people in:

• critical care;
• emergency departments;
• operating and recovery rooms;
• labour and delivery;
• diagnostic testing departments; and
• private homes

In addition to care in the hospital, our respiratory therapists offer the following outpatient services:

• asthma education clinics
• COPD services
• pulmonary function lab
