You will need a doctor's referral to be seen at this clinic. Due to the high number of people who need treatment, we are unable to accept walk-in patients.
Fracture and Plastics Clinic
To visit the Fracture and Plastics Clinic:
- Enter through the main entrance of Brampton Civic Hospital or the Etobicoke Wellness Centre.
- Use your health card to register at one of the kiosks. If you need help, please ask one of our volunteers.

How can I see an orthopedic or plastic surgeon in the fracture clinic?
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring:
- your health card
- all medications
- any X-ray, MRI or CT images (on CD)
- any X-ray, MRI, CT or ultrasound written reports
You can also bring a list of questions to help you remember everything you want to ask.
When should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment.
How long will my appointment be?
While we do our best to see patients on time, there may be a wait. Please prepare to spend 1-3 hours in the clinic.
What do I do if I cannot make my scheduled appointment?
If you cannot make your appointment, please call the clinic as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule.
The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) does not cover:
- medical devices
- injections
These items may be covered by your private insurer or extended health care plan. Please contact your insurer before your first visit to ask about your coverage. You will be invoiced at the end of your appointment for any devices or medication you receive.
Please note that some splints and orthopaedic appliances may not be covered by your health care insurance. All devices are non-refundable and can range from $20 to $240. Please discuss your options with your health care provider.
