This clinic aims to slow the progress of kidney disease and prevent other health problems that can occur when kidneys are not working well.
Our specialized team includes nephrologists and renal registered nurses, social workers, pharmacists and dietitians. Together, we are here to meet your individual care needs.
We:
- will explain your treatment options if your kidney disease does progress and guide you to choose the type of dialysis that best fits your lifestyle. Many options are available, and we are here to support you.
- offer psychosocial support and palliative care to patients with end-stage renal disease who choose not to have renal replacement therapies or a kidney transplant.
- explore pre-emptive transplant options (e.g. a kidney transplant before going on dialysis) with you, as appropriate.
