Osler’s primary care obstetrics group team are family physicians who have completed extra training in the field of obstetrics and offer quality medical care focused on low-risk pregnancies. These physicians support pregnancy and beyond including birth, newborn care and breastfeeding support in the inpatient units at Brampton Civic Hospital, the maternity care clinic and the mother baby clinic.
Midwives are trained primary health care professionals who are experts in normal low-risk pregnancy, birth and newborn care. Midwives provide a complete package of prenatal, birth and postpartum care and can order blood tests, ultrasounds and prescribe medication over the course of your care.
Midwifery care is fully funded through the Ministry of Health for women with OHIP. Midwifery services may also be covered for people without a health card. Call the midwifery care clinics below to find out more.
