Osler’s Brampton COVID-19 vaccine clinics open to those 12+ who live, work or attend school in Peel

Starting Thursday, May 20, William Osler Health System (Osler) will be vaccinating individuals who are 12 years of age or older at the time of their vaccination and who live, work, or attend school in Peel Region. This is in alignment with the Province’s COVID-19 Vaccination Distribution Plan. Appointments can be booked at either Brampton Civic Hospital or Century Gardens Recreation Centre vaccination sites by phone or online through Osler’s website. At both of these COVID-19 vaccine clinics, individuals will receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the only COVID-19 vaccine currently authorized for use in this age group.

Osler is also pleased to share that it is in the process of developing a youth-friendly environment at the Century Gardens Recreation Centre COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic. Developed in collaboration with local youth groups, the Youth Pad at Century Gardens will be Osler’s primary vaccination site for Peel residents 12-15 years of age. The innovative space will provide youth with a comfortable, safe and interactive space to receive their vaccine. Osler will have paediatricians and family physicians on-site to administer the vaccine.

“Osler is proud to continue to support the COVID-19 vaccine rollout efforts in Peel Region and to expand eligibility to our community’s youth,” said Kiki Ferrari, Chief Operating Officer, William Osler Health System. “Developing the Youth Pad space is an important step in building vaccine confidence among some of our youngest community members, and providing a space where they feel welcome, comfortable and safe.”

Since Osler opened its COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic in December 2020, it has administered more than 158,000 COVID-19 vaccinations, in alignment with the Ontario Government’s three-phased Vaccine Distribution Plan. Osler remains committed to sharing more information about vaccine rollout plans as it becomes available.
