You’re invited to Osler’s next community Telephone Town Hall

Learn what’s new with the exciting transformation of Peel Memorial, and the latest hospital developments

William Osler Health System (Osler) invites community members to join its upcoming Telephone Town Hall on Wednesday, November 12, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It’s a great way for the community to dialogue directly with Osler’s President and CEO and other senior hospital leaders and hear the latest hospital news including: progress on transforming Peel Memorial to Brampton’s second hospital, Osler’s partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University’s new School of Medicine, how to access care over the coming season, and more.

The event also gives members of the community an opportunity to ask questions, share feedback and engage in meaningful discussions with hospital leaders.

The Telephone Town Hall will be hosted by Dr. Frank Martino, Osler’s President and CEO, and moderated by Gurjit Kaur Bains, a dedicated member of Osler’s Patient and Family Advisory Council. They will be joined by a panel of Osler senior leaders:

  • Connie Stefankiewicz, Osler Board Director
  • Ken Mayhew, President and CEO, Osler Foundation
  • Kiki Ferrari, Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer
  • Tiziana Rivera, Executive Vice President, Quality, Research and Chief Nursing Executive
  • Dr. Hemant Shah, Vice President, Academics
  • Scott Patterson, Vice President, Facilities Operations and Capital Development
  • Tony Raso, Vice President, Clinical Services
  • Mary Jane McNally, Chief Patient Experience Officer

“Osler has been a core part of the community for 100 years, and events like this connect us directly with the people we serve,” said Dr. Frank Martino, Osler President & CEO. “I invite everyone to join us on November 12 to hear the latest updates about how Osler’s dedicated teams are going beyond for our people and communities, and to share in the dialogue that shapes the future of care in our community.”

Event moderator Gurjit Kaur Bains shared, “As someone who lives and works in the community, I know how important it is to stay informed about what’s happening at our local hospital and to have a chance to ask questions. I encourage everyone to answer the call on November 12 and be part of this important conversation.”

How to Participate: On Wednesday, November 12, starting at 6:50 p.m., Osler will call residents via landline to connect them directly to the Town Hall. To participate, residents can also pre-register with the phone number of their choice as well as submit questions in advance online or leave a voicemail with their name and phone number at (416) or (905) 494-2120 ext. 50200 before 12:00 p.m. on November 12, 2025.
