Peel Memorial. It’s where Ryan Degen took his first breath 34 years ago as a fragile infant born two months prematurely; it’s also the place where his father, Ralph, found care and compassion throughout a long and complicated medical journey; and where Ryan’s connection to the storied site has come full circle as a member of Osler’s Strategic Communications team.

Dorothy Sterling knew every nook and cranny at Peel Memorial Hospital. The retired Registered Nurse spent 15 of her 38 years at the hospital as a member of the IV team, applying the greatest care to skillfully connect patients in units across the hospital to intravenous medications that were part of their care plans.

Baljit Ghuman was just 15 years old when his family immigrated to Canada from India in 1990. After making Brampton their home, he had his first introduction to Canada’s health care system when he had to visit William Osler Health System’s original Peel Memorial Hospital.

Brampton resident Denis MacDougall knows a thing or two about health care. For decades, health and fitness have been a cornerstone of Denis’ life, and he is an avid runner.
