Summer Student Research Program Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the program is currently running.

Unfortunately, no. This program is for undergraduate students only.

Yes. You must have a valid work permit that covers the duration of the Summer Student Research Program and be eligible to work 35 hours/week.

The program offers paid positions. If you would prefer to volunteer your time, please contact SSRP@williamoslerhs.ca.

As per Osler policy, all summer students are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. During onboarding, a proof of other immunizations will be asked too including: Tuberculosis status, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B and Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis.

The expectation is that you will be available to be onsite but ultimately it is at the discretion of the researcher if some of the work can be done remotely.

If you do not have a transcript from your current year, one from your previous year would be acceptable (e.g. you are in third year but sent second year marks).

Due to the number of applications we receive each year, only those who are selected for an interview will be contacted.

The researcher and summer students profiles will be matched by the SSRP based on the project requirements and students skills.

At the end of the program you will be provided with a link to the feedback survey, which can be used to provide feedback about the SSRP.
